Moisture-Repellant Insulation

ComfortWall is a revolutionary, healthy insulation product that is made from natural rockwool. Unlike traditional insulation materials, ComfortWall is manufactured by melting natural rock and then spinning it into fibers, which are then compressed and cured to form the final product.

Its natural design allows moisture vapor to flow freely, just like natural air. This unique ensures there are no moisture issues that can lead to mould.

Don’t trust just any product for your home – trust ComfortWall.

Natural Rockwool Insulation

ComfortWall is manufactured from granulated rockwool, a naturally occurring volcanic rock. These rocks are formed from the solidification of molten magma or lava. The rocks are then crushed into small pieces and heated to very high temperatures in a furnace. The molten rocks are heated and then spun into fibers using a process similar to that used to make cotton candy. The fibers are then collected on a conveyor belt and compressed into thick mats. The stone wool is then milled to produce a specific purpose granulate for "pumping" into wall cavities.

Being made from naturally replenshing renewable volcanic rock, ComfortWall contains no fibreglass, asbestos, odours, dyes or toxins. It is Landfill friendly, containing no polystyrenes or plastics. There is no risk of air borne dust contaminated from fire retardant chemical residue as has been found with foam insulations.

Moisture-Repellant Performance

Research shows that energy and moisture flow in and out through the wall of a building.

If the insulation selected for use in the cavity does not allow moisture vaport to flow freely, it can trap moisture, increase the risk of condensation, and lead to higher levels of dampness that can promote the growth of harmful mould and fungi.

ComfortWall, a granulated stone wool insulation is highly vapour permeable, meaning it allows vapour to flow just like natural air.

With ComfortWall, hydrothermal modelling shows reduced energy flow (warmer in winter, cooler in summer) without affecting the natural flow of moisture vapour, allowing the wall to breathe, keeping it drier for the life of the building.
